Biography
Moritz Hofbauer doesn’t fit neatly into the typical electronic artist blueprint. His musical world was shaped by classical instruments and composition, a background that still defines the way he approaches electronic music today.
Spending most of his time in the studio writing and producing music, Moritz builds his sets entirely around his own catalogue, with every track in his sets written and produced by him.
Blending emotional melodies with powerful grooves, his productions sit somewhere between melodic techno and indie dance, driven by a strong sense for musical storytelling and club energy, while continuously exploring new directions beyond genre boundaries and the classic four-on-the-floor framework.
As part of Boris Brejcha’s FCKNG SERIOUS, Moritz has taken his music to renowned stages around the world, including Red Rocks (Morrison, Colorado), Green Valley (Camboriú, Brazil) and Zamna (Tulum, Mexico), as well as major festivals such as Tomorrowland Belgium, Tomorrowland Brazil, Ultra Miami, Ultra Buenos Aires, EDC Mexico, Cercle Festival and Creamfields Chile.
For several years, Moritz gained significant recognition through his live performances, a format he embraced to highlight his identity as a producer and musician.
At the moment, he focuses on DJ sets, allowing him to present his songs in their full sonic depth and studio quality while the music unfolds with maximum impact on the dancefloor.
